IMDB的成年禮
今天，國際電影數據庫（IMDB）十八歲了！在這個網站的成人禮前期，IMDB斷斷續續地在首頁上呈現過“視頻”特色服務的內容，如今，這個功能已經正式推出，IMDB的計劃是將所有擁有版權的影視資料統統上線，讓影迷和專業人士在IMDB這個平臺上分享。
【慶生致辭】今天，IMDB的創始人Col Needham在網站上寫下了慶生致辭，他也再次重申IMDB的核心價值：保持用戶對影視資料數據的貢獻特色，分享影視帶來的熱情。

You might wonder how it is possible for IMDb to be 18 since the first web browser wasn't really available until 1991. On this day in 1990 I published a series of scripts which made lists of credits (collected by a wonderful USENET group called "rec.arts.movies") searchable. Though the naming was still four years off, the IMDb was, in essence, born. Below this open letter is a bit more history about the site, for those interested.
Suffice it to say, however, that since that time IMDb has become more than a list of searchable credits. On top of this bedrock of data we've recently added 6,000 full-length feature films and TV episodes which our users can watch for free. We have launched NewsDesk, (which allows news partners to add their news feeds to our site), individual pages for characters, wiki-based plot synopses, FAQs, parental guides, and many, many more features. We now enjoy the patronage of over 57 million movie and TV lovers each month.
Meanwhile our IMDb Pro service continues to help industry professionals make better business and creative decisions with our recent addition of FilmFinders, while we help filmmakers and festivals promote and distribute their work with WithoutaBox.

Monk的生日
今天，《神經妙探》（“Monk”，2002--2010)的扮演者Tony Shalhoub先生55大壽！
【你喜歡Monk劇中的誰？】除了我們神經質、潔癖、強迫症的神探Monk以外，他的兩任女助手、她的哥哥，他的死對頭病友、他的警署的好友上尉，或是愣頭愣腦的中尉先生……
目前為止，美劇“MONK”我一集不落都看了，但並非每集都值得一看，如果你想節省時間，挑選出最值得看的Monk劇集，不妨先看看我的意見：
【個人觀感】神經質、潔癖、強迫症的這樣一個偵探打破了我對“偵探”以往的印象，Monk也比潑羅、馬普爾更加貼近我的生活。現在像偵探一樣條理清晰地總結一下本劇的得失：
1、人物形象非常鮮明，也很有創意：神探，我們的主角Monk、他的兩任助手Sharona、Natalie、Leland Stottlemeyer上尉、Randall Disher中尉、心理醫師Dr. Kroger幾個常見的主要人物各有千秋，各具特色，演員表演上也非常到位，平易近人又不失誇張。
劇中令我印象深刻的除了上述常任角色外，還有：
Leland的壞女友Linda Fusco：在“絕望的主婦”裏她就是個壞女人，沒想到到了神探阿蒙裏，還是蛇蠍心腸，手段惡毒，最終自食其果，但她給人的感覺非常好，有攻擊性，獨立自信。
狂熱女粉絲Marci Maven：在Mr. Monk and His Biggest Fan (2007) 和 Mr. Monk and the TV Star (2004) 兩集裏，這個女孩兒就是個傻大姐，哦，呵呵
Monk的哥哥Ambrose Monk：和蒙克一樣，可愛又可憐
Monk的病友對頭Harold Krenshaw：呵呵，我有點兒討厭他，因為Monk也討厭他
還有Mr. Monk and the Girl Who Cried Wolf (2004)中暫時接替Sharona的黑人女助手Varla Davis：OMG，這個黑女人，夠潑辣，夠自我，夠……
嘿，你喜歡裏面的哪些角色？不妨投個票吧
2、編劇將懸疑的謀殺與敏感多毛病的偵探以及由此引發的搞笑巧妙結合，不能不說下了一番功夫，也的確讓我耳目一新，在為劇情苦思冥想的同時，不時還會被Monk、Randy逗樂。
3、編劇還時不時的在劇中與觀眾互動，例如當我發現片頭音樂突然更換並不太喜歡的時候，在Mr Monk and TV Star那一集裏，某個fans就替我說了我的願望，呵呵，肯定當時美國觀眾也反映了這個問題～只是製片方並沒接受觀眾的意見。很佩服美國電視編劇的這種方式。
4、總的來說，許多集數還是非常有看頭的，特別是每一季首尾幾集，以及每集開頭是以Monk本人的故事開場的，似乎都挺不錯的。但遺憾的是，個別故事編的並不怎麼吸引人。當然，對於一部（截至2008年9月已經拍到了第7季）超過100集的電視劇，要求它每集都精彩也實在有點兒難為人了。所以我精選了我個人看完後覺得非常不錯的集數列在這裏（都是我看後評分大於7分的，滿分是10分），不妨作為各位沒看過的朋友的導視，如果期待重看溫習一下可愛的Monk先生，也可參考一下：

——Monk和Sharona假扮夫妻去拯救Randy母親的“老牛吃嫩草”的戀愛，Sharona再次機智甚至有點兒狡猾的幫了一把Monk
Season 2, Episode 16: Mr. Monk Goes to Jail
——這是Monk第一次進監獄，當然是查案子，但也夠驚險的。
Season 3, Episode 6: Mr. Monk and the Girl Who Cried Wolf
——這一集劇情有點兒恐怖，不過充分展示了Sharona的演技，估計是她要求編劇給加的戲份，不過即便如此她仍然不能滿意，最終她還是暫時離開了劇組，Mr. Monk Takes His Medicine 是她參與主演的最後一集，那一集中她已經明顯看出有些心不在焉了，估計去意已決。其實之前已經有幾集沒有她出場了，這或許是製片人在最後編輯的時候調整了順序，並由劇中人物不斷說出Sharona要走，埋下一根線。到了第六季最後一集，nattlie又說她會回來，難道她真的會在第7季中回來？

——這一集裏你會知道Monk適合做的偵探以外的工作，哦對了，他的保齡球打得很好哦。

——這一集你會真的以為Monk的亡妻是假死，沒準兒是個不得已的秘密工作，但最後發現那是個陰謀。
Season 4, Episode 13: Mr. Monk and the Big Reward
Season 4, Episode 15: Mr. Monk Goes to the Dentist
Season 4, Episode 16: Mr. Monk Gets Jury Duty
——看看美國的陪審團如何工作，Monk又有用武之地了，不過那些非職業偵探還真有點兒礙手礙腳的，除了一個人……
Season 5, Episode 10: Mr. Monk and the Leper
——這一集搞笑，Natalie的戀愛差點兒要了她的命，和麻風病人親嘴之後該如何消毒？Natalie有高招哦。

——這一集揭秘過程相當精彩而且讓人意想不到，謀殺犯男主角Vincent Ventresca扮演的Rob Sherman 又是一位衣冠楚楚的傢伙。

——這兩集是Monk第二次進監獄，這次可不是他主動進去的，而是被陷害！夠刺激，也夠猛的。

——這一集Monk的老爸終於讓我們見到了，哦還真有點兒吃驚，他和Monk完全是兩個風格的人！一路上顛簸，有衝突有誤解，最後有點兒溫情。
Season 5, Episode 16: Mr. Monk Goes to the Hospital
Season 6, Episode 1: Mr. Monk and His Biggest Fan—— 這一集中傻大姐Marci Maven這個人物又一次出現了，這個女孩兒是狂熱的追星族，上一次追一位元電視明星，這次追上了Monk，她那種執著癲狂的勁頭兒真的很牛很擾民哦，不過 我挺喜歡這個女演員的，扮演這樣一位不怎麼討喜的角色一點兒也不讓人難受，她的聲音也很有魅力。
Season 6, Episode 6: Mr. Monk and the Buried Treasure
——這是Monk幫助Dr.Kroger兒子尋寶的故事，幽默又危險，還不時體現點親情，挺棒。
Season 6, Episode 9: Mr. Monk Is Up All Night
——讓Monk整夜失眠的女人究竟為啥？原來還是因為Monk的亡妻，這一集再次恰到好處的煽情讓我們看到了Monk的真實所在以及他妻子的博愛。
Season 6, Episode 13: Mr. Monk and the Three Julies
Season 7, Episode 3: Mr. Monk Gets Lotto Fever
——Natalie揚眉吐氣了，她搖身變成了播報彩票中獎號碼的電視女郎，呵呵，這回Monk有點兒囧了，他太依賴Natalie了。
Season 7, Episode 7: Mr. Monk's 100th Case
——這一集有個小bug，早在前面某一季的某一集，Natalie和女兒層祝賀Monk完成了他的第104個案子，為了讓Monk感覺完美，她倆特意只準備了100個小獎杯，這一集卻又變成了第一百個案子，呵呵估計編劇和演員們都糊塗了，他們畢竟不是Monk啊～這一集最令我激動的是，借助劇情，回顧Monk的斷案業績，許多當事人都重新回到了觀眾的視線中，比如Monk的瘋狂粉絲Sarah Silverman ，Monk的哥哥John Turturro ，在Monk劇集中扮演了4個不同角色的女演員Brooke Adams ，還有在《絕望主婦》中那位Lynette的女鄰居老太太Kathryn Joosten，Gabrielle 的老公Ricardo Chavira
三、被我評≥7分，值得一看的有：

——這一集Natalie以一個求助者的身份出場，並最終成為了Monk的新助手，說實話，剛開始還真不習慣，總覺得Natallie太有禮貌、 太正規、太淑女，沒有Sharona的那股子野勁兒，或許編輯、導演也想換換口味，Natallie自己也在劇中不斷重複“我不是Sharona，請不要 拿我與她相比”。

——這一集Monk當上了男管家，哦，真的很盡責，而且裏面的蘇茜女僕還是《成長的煩惱》裏的小Chris哦：白晰可人。

——這一集中那個農場的骨幹農場主（西班牙裔）的扮演者Ricardo Chavira就是《絕望主婦》的Carlos Solis ，認出了嗎？
Season 5, Episode 15: Mr. Monk and the Really, Really Dead Guy
Season 6, Episode 2: Mr. Monk and the Rapper
Season 6, Episode 3: Mr. Monk and the Naked Man
Season 6, Episode 4: Mr. Monk and the Bad Girlfriend
——這一集上尉的女友終於現原形了，她的陰謀不知從何時開始的，但無疑她是充滿魅惑的妖精般的危險女人。Sharon Lawrence這個女演員也是繼《絕望的主婦》後再次扮演這類挺讓人害怕的賤女人了，OMG，演技沒得說。
Season 6, Episode 10: Mr. Monk and the Man Who Shot Santa Claus
Season 6, Episode 14: Mr. Monk Paints His Masterpiece
——這一集中我們最後一次見到Dr. Charles Kroger，即Monk的心理醫生，因為該角色的演員Stanley Kamel因心臟病逝世了，雖然他在片中戲份不多，每集就是幾場跟Monk在心理治療中的對話，但真正失去他，還是讓我感覺有點兒失落，正如當年Monk 的第一個助手Sharona Fleming離開時一樣。 不同的是，扮演Sharona Fleming 的女演員Bitty Schram離開只是因為她本人對薪酬不滿，並在6季最後一集Nat提到了她，有可能她還會在新的一季中返回，而Dr. Kroger是不可能返回了。:(
Season 7, Episode 6: Mr. Monk Falls in Love
——Monk戀愛了，但結局有點兒黯然神傷，那位Monk眼中的女神最後無奈的回話是“Go back to your wife and life”
Season 7, Episode 8: Mr. Monk Gets Hypnotized
——Monk在催眠下返回到了6、7歲的時候的狀態，但這絲毫不會妨礙他破案，只是那條線索設置的，我覺得有點兒不太可信，這也是為啥我覺得這一集得不到8分的原因，第7季的很多集都存在這個問題。第7季不好看了。
四、被我評＜7分，不一定要看，除非你想打發時間的有：
上面沒有提到的其他各集……
【第7季】到2008年底我看完這一季的前8集，感覺是大不如前了。特別是2008年7月開始的第七季前兩集都挺讓我失望的，既不精彩緊張，也不幽默搞笑：
Season 7, Episode 1: Mr. Monk Buys a House～（我的評分：4分，IMDB用戶卻多數給了超過8分）和Season 7, Episode 2: Mr. Monk and the Genius（我的評分：6分，IMDB用戶卻多數給了超過8分），真不明白是不是我太苛求還是審美疲勞了，但至少我不糊塗，不會被感情沖昏了頭腦。
看來Monk要走到盡頭了。還是見好就收吧。
【最後16集】果然，2009年的夏天，第8季將是MONK的“告別季”，這部層榮獲Emmy, Golden Globe和SAG award的美國有線電視中最成功的電視系列劇之一，終於將帶著笑聲、驚恐與我們揮別了。
該劇的官方網站承諾最後一季將呈現給所有Monk粉絲值得紀念的回憶。我想我會珍藏這些可愛、可恨、可憐的人們的。
毫無疑問，在最終，Monk將找出殺害他妻子Judy的兇手！這也是所有Monk的觀眾始終關心的問題。天啊，謎底即將揭開啦～

——這一集上尉的女友Linda驚豔亮相：強勢、性感、誘惑力，還有點兒陰險。最終她的結局也證明了這一點，上尉的女友可不是省油的燈哦。這個演員 Sharon Lawrence還曾在《絕望的主婦》中扮演另一個類似的賤女人，勾引並使Bree丈夫致死的女鄰居。哦，真是叫人又愛又恨！

——這一集Monk的老爸終於讓我們見到了，哦還真有點兒吃驚，他和Monk完全是兩個風格的人！一路上顛簸，有衝突有誤解，最後有點兒溫情。
Season 5, Episode 16: Mr. Monk Goes to the Hospital
Season 6, Episode 1: Mr. Monk and His Biggest Fan—— 這一集中傻大姐Marci Maven這個人物又一次出現了，這個女孩兒是狂熱的追星族，上一次追一位元電視明星，這次追上了Monk，她那種執著癲狂的勁頭兒真的很牛很擾民哦，不過 我挺喜歡這個女演員的，扮演這樣一位不怎麼討喜的角色一點兒也不讓人難受，她的聲音也很有魅力。
Season 6, Episode 6: Mr. Monk and the Buried Treasure
——這是Monk幫助Dr.Kroger兒子尋寶的故事，幽默又危險，還不時體現點親情，挺棒。
Season 6, Episode 9: Mr. Monk Is Up All Night
——讓Monk整夜失眠的女人究竟為啥？原來還是因為Monk的亡妻，這一集再次恰到好處的煽情讓我們看到了Monk的真實所在以及他妻子的博愛。
Season 6, Episode 13: Mr. Monk and the Three Julies
Season 7, Episode 3: Mr. Monk Gets Lotto Fever
——Natalie揚眉吐氣了，她搖身變成了播報彩票中獎號碼的電視女郎，呵呵，這回Monk有點兒囧了，他太依賴Natalie了。
Season 7, Episode 7: Mr. Monk's 100th Case
——這一集有個小bug，早在前面某一季的某一集，Natalie和女兒層祝賀Monk完成了他的第104個案子，為了讓Monk感覺完美，她倆特意只準備了100個小獎杯，這一集卻又變成了第一百個案子，呵呵估計編劇和演員們都糊塗了，他們畢竟不是Monk啊～這一集最令我激動的是，借助劇情，回顧Monk的斷案業績，許多當事人都重新回到了觀眾的視線中，比如Monk的瘋狂粉絲Sarah Silverman ，Monk的哥哥John Turturro ，在Monk劇集中扮演了4個不同角色的女演員Brooke Adams ，還有在《絕望主婦》中那位Lynette的女鄰居老太太Kathryn Joosten，Gabrielle 的老公Ricardo Chavira

——這一集Natalie以一個求助者的身份出場，並最終成為了Monk的新助手，說實話，剛開始還真不習慣，總覺得Natallie太有禮貌、 太正規、太淑女，沒有Sharona的那股子野勁兒，或許編輯、導演也想換換口味，Natallie自己也在劇中不斷重複“我不是Sharona，請不要 拿我與她相比”。

——這一集中那個農場的骨幹農場主（西班牙裔）的扮演者Ricardo Chavira就是《絕望主婦》的Carlos Solis ，認出了嗎？

——這一集上尉的女友終於現原形了，她的陰謀不知從何時開始的，但無疑她是充滿魅惑的妖精般的危險女人。Sharon Lawrence這個女演員也是繼《絕望的主婦》後再次扮演這類挺讓人害怕的賤女人了，OMG，演技沒得說。
Season 6, Episode 10: Mr. Monk and the Man Who Shot Santa Claus
Season 6, Episode 14: Mr. Monk Paints His Masterpiece
——這一集中我們最後一次見到Dr. Charles Kroger，即Monk的心理醫生，因為該角色的演員Stanley Kamel因心臟病逝世了，雖然他在片中戲份不多，每集就是幾場跟Monk在心理治療中的對話，但真正失去他，還是讓我感覺有點兒失落，正如當年Monk 的第一個助手Sharona Fleming離開時一樣。 不同的是，扮演Sharona Fleming 的女演員Bitty Schram離開只是因為她本人對薪酬不滿，並在6季最後一集Nat提到了她，有可能她還會在新的一季中返回，而Dr. Kroger是不可能返回了。:(
Season 7, Episode 6: Mr. Monk Falls in Love
——Monk戀愛了，但結局有點兒黯然神傷，那位Monk眼中的女神最後無奈的回話是“Go back to your wife and life”
Season 7, Episode 8: Mr. Monk Gets Hypnotized
——Monk在催眠下返回到了6、7歲的時候的狀態，但這絲毫不會妨礙他破案，只是那條線索設置的，我覺得有點兒不太可信，這也是為啥我覺得這一集得不到8分的原因，第7季的很多集都存在這個問題。第7季不好看了。

【第7季】到2008年底我看完這一季的前8集，感覺是大不如前了。特別是2008年7月開始的第七季前兩集都挺讓我失望的，既不精彩緊張，也不幽默搞笑：
Season 7, Episode 1: Mr. Monk Buys a House～（我的評分：4分，IMDB用戶卻多數給了超過8分）和Season 7, Episode 2: Mr. Monk and the Genius（我的評分：6分，IMDB用戶卻多數給了超過8分），真不明白是不是我太苛求還是審美疲勞了，但至少我不糊塗，不會被感情沖昏了頭腦。
看來Monk要走到盡頭了。還是見好就收吧。
【最後16集】果然，2009年的夏天，第8季將是MONK的“告別季”，這部層榮獲Emmy, Golden Globe和SAG award的美國有線電視中最成功的電視系列劇之一，終於將帶著笑聲、驚恐與我們揮別了。
該劇的官方網站承諾最後一季將呈現給所有Monk粉絲值得紀念的回憶。我想我會珍藏這些可愛、可恨、可憐的人們的。
毫無疑問，在最終，Monk將找出殺害他妻子Judy的兇手！這也是所有Monk的觀眾始終關心的問題。天啊，謎底即將揭開啦～
